Meet the Brazilian agent who makes Haaland one of the highest paid in the World Cup
Erling Haaland has been one of the highlights in Norway in this edition of the World Cup, a country that reached the round of 16 stage this Tuesday (30), by beating Ivory Coast 2-1. The 25-year-old striker, in fact, is one of the highest paid players in the tournament thanks to the work of a Brazilian agent.
Rafaela Pimenta, 53 years old, manages the athlete's career and was responsible for his transfer to Manchester City in 2022, when he left Borussia Dortmund for a fee of 60 million euros, around R$331.8 million at the time.
That year, the signing was voted best of the season by the Globe Soccer Awards. In addition to Haaland, Rafaela is also an agent for Manchester United's Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui, Inter Milan's Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Milan's Santiago Gimenez and Tijuana's Gilberto Mora.
In this World Cup, Erling Haaland occupies fourth place in the ranking of the highest paid players, with 80 million dollars (R$ 414 million at current prices), according to "Forbes" magazine. The Norwegian is behind only Cristiano Ronaldo (R$1.5 billion), Lionel Messi (R$724 million) and Kylian Mbappé (R$491 million).
