Meet Bouaddi, the Morocco midfielder who stood out against Brazil

Brazil and Morocco drew 1-1 this Saturday (13), in the first round of Group C of the 2026 World Cup. In the confrontation, a name that caught attention on the field was Ayyoub Bouaddi, a Moroccan midfielder who stood out in the match.

Born in Senlis, in northern France, Bouaddi played for all of the European country's youth teams throughout his career. However, in May, the 18-year-old midfielder managed to change his nationality approved by FIFA, which gave him the freedom to play for the African team.

Against the Brazilian team, the young player had a pass rate of 91% and 86 actions with the ball, according to the "Sofascore" platform. Without possession, he was fundamental in recovering the offensive field and in physical duels with the opponent, where he won most of them.

After the clash against Morocco, Brazil returns to the field next Friday (19), at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), to face Haiti. Afterwards, the team led by Carlo Ancelotti ends its participation in the group stage of the World Cup against Scotland, on June 24th.
