Means/Idea: Lula is disapproved by 48.5% of Brazilians; 46.5% approve

The administration of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) is disapproved by 48.5% of those interviewed and approved by 46.5%, according to the Meio/Ideia survey released this Wednesday (8).

Another 4.9% were unable to respond and evaluate.

In comparison with the previous survey, released in May, the indices fluctuated within the margin of error. Approval went from 46.6% to 46.5%, while disapproval fell from 51.4% to 48.5%. On that occasion, 2% were unable to answer.

In addition to general approval, the institute also questioned how those interviewed evaluated Lula's management.

For 41% of participants, the government is considered "bad" or "terrible", while 32.5% classify the administration as "excellent" or "good".

Another 24.5% rated it as regular and 2% did not know how to answer or did not give their opinion.

Methodology
1,500 people were interviewed across the country between the 3rd and 6th of July. The margin of error is 2.5 percentage points, plus or minus. The confidence level is 95%.

The research was carried out with the institute's own resources and is registered with the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) under protocol BR-05628/2026.
