Means/Idea: 39% see Lula more involved with the Master case; 37.4% see Flávio

Meio/Ideia survey released this Wednesday (8) shows that 39% of those interviewed believe that President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) is the politician most involved with the Banco Master scandal. Another 37.4% believe that Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) is more linked to the case.

Of the total number of respondents, 22.5% were unable to answer, while 1.1% stated that neither of them was involved.

The question refers to the leaked audio in which a negotiation between Flávio Bolsonaro and the owner of Banco Master, Daniel Vorcaro, regarding a transfer of R$ 134 million to finance a film about former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL).

According to the survey, 36.5% stated that the dissemination of information does not increase or decrease the chance of voting for Flávio Bolsonaro. Another 29.5% said that the episode reduces the intention to vote for the senator, while 6.6% said it increases it.

In addition, 8% said they did not intend to vote in these elections, while 19.5% were unable to answer the question.

The survey also asked interviewees about the relationship between the former PT leader in the Senate, Jaques Wagner, and the case involving Master. The Federal Police suspected him of being the beneficiary of undue economic advantages related to the bank.

For 42% of those interviewed, Wagner's proximity to Lula neither increases nor decreases the chance of voting for the president's re-election. Another 17.3% said the episode reduces this possibility, while 7% said it increases it.

Those who could not answer totaled 24.7%, and 9% stated that they did not intend to vote in these elections.

Methodology
1,500 people were interviewed across the country between the 3rd and 6th of July. The margin of error is 2.5 percentage points, plus or minus, with a 95% confidence level.

The research was carried out with the institute's own resources and is registered with the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) under protocol BR-05628/2026.
