Kylian Mbappé is the player with the best performance among the participants in the 2026 World Cup, according to a survey released by the TransferRoom platform. The France striker received a score of 95.1 in the "Player Rating", which measures the level of performance of athletes on the field.
The Frenchman appears ahead of Michael Olise, also from France, who received a score of 94.6. Lamine Yamal, leader of the World Cup market value ranking, occupies third place, with 94.3 points. Erling Haaland, the second most valuable player in the tournament, appears only in fifth place in the survey, with a score of 93. Vinicius Júnior is not among the top ten.
According to TransferRoom, Player Rating is an index that seeks to measure an athlete's ability on the field. The calculation takes into account factors such as the quality of the team in which it plays, the frequency with which it plays, the level of opponents faced and individual statistics related to the position played.
The ranking shows differences between sporting performance and market value. While Yamal leads the list of the World Cup's most valuable players and Haaland appears in second place, both are behind Mbappé when the criterion is performance on the field.
