Mbappé fires after victory against Paraguay: "We know how to get our hands dirty"

France beat Paraguay this Saturday (4), in Philadelphia, and secured their place in the quarterfinals of the World Cup. After the game, Kylian Mbappé, scorer of the French team's winning goal, spoke about the tension of the decisive clash.

"If we have to get our hands dirty, let's do it. They thought we would show up in a tuxedo to play, but we also know how to play dirty football. We showed that we are not just a team that knows how to play offensive football", said the 27-year-old star.

To qualify for the next phase, the French needed to overcome the strong defensive system of the Paraguayans. The South American team also tried to use up time in the match and arrive firmly in the disputes with the Europeans.

Despite this, France managed to come out with the victory thanks to the penalty converted by Mbappé. He reached the mark of 19 goals in the history of the World Cup, being his seventh in the current edition of the competition.

In the quarterfinals, the opponent of Didier Deschamps' team will be Morocco, who defeated Canada 3-0. The duel will take place next Thursday (9), at 5pm (Brasília time), at Gillette Stadium, in Boston.
