Master: Chamber committee approves invitation for Andrei to explain the role of the PF

The Public Security Committee of the Chamber of Deputies approved, this Tuesday (26), the request to invite the director general of the PF (Federal Police), Andrei Rodrigues, to appear before the collegiate and provide clarifications on the "Master Case".

The request from deputy Captain Alden (PL-BA) requests that the head of the PF provide "clarifications on the facts recently disclosed within the scope of Operation Compliance Zero, especially regarding investigations involving the alleged transfer of confidential information by corporate employees to members of the so-called 'Master Case'".

According to the parliamentarian, recent information released by the national press about the case points to the existence of an "alleged scheme to leak confidential information, involving public agents linked to the Federal Police".

Invitation to the Minister of Justice
This afternoon, the committee's deputies also approved the invitation to the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Wellington César Lima e Silva, to provide clarifications about the Brazil Against Organized Crime Program and the measures planned to combat criminal organizations in the country.

The request, also filed by deputy Captain Alden, aims to ask the minister to explain the guidelines, sources of financing, goals, execution mechanisms and expected impacts in combating organized crime in Brazil with the program.

The Brazil Against Organized Crime Program was launched by the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) on the 12th and focuses on dismantling the economic bases of the factions. The idea is to set the PT administration's own agenda on the topic to counter the opposition's speech.

The program has a total budget of R$11 billion, of which R$968.2 million is for direct contributions; and R$10 billion allocated to financing for states and municipalities.
