Mari Maria uses laser to treat eye tumors; see before and after

Influencer and businesswoman Mari Maria, 33, shared on her social networks details of the procedure carried out to remove small tumors in the eye area. She talked about her skin condition and explained that, due to her freckles, the lesions went unnoticed, but they had been bothering her for a while and, therefore, she chose to have them removed.

"One of the advantages of having sardines is that they don't really show much. When I put on makeup, I can hide them well," he explained. She has benign tumors known as syringomas, located mainly in the eyes and in the region close to the ears.

The treatment chosen by Mari was carried out with an electric scalpel and carbon dioxide, indicated to remove and soften the small lesions left by the sirigoma, which look like "little balls" on the skin. She stated that she had medical supervision from the beginning and that the professional recommended the removal.

"I've been undergoing dermatological follow-up with @dra.taizcampbell and @draneidedozono for over 4 years, and this was a procedure they found to improve this condition", he wrote in the caption of the post on his Instagram account.

She showed the result with her eyes still swollen and then the first makeup after the procedure. She celebrated the quick healing and talked about how the look helped her regain her self-esteem and brought relief after days of worrying about her skin's recovery.

What is a syringoma and what are the recommended treatments?
A syringoma is a benign tumor and is commonly found on and around the eyelids. They can also appear on the cheeks, scalp, armpits, navel, chest and genital region. The name of the lesions derives from "syrinx", a Greek word meaning tube or pipe.

Syringomas affect approximately 1% of the population. They are generally sporadic, appearing during or after adolescence, and can be hereditary.
