Marcos Oliveira, Beiçola, talks about surgery: "A lot of pain and suffering"
Marcos Oliveira, Beiçola from "A Grande Família", reappeared on social media after four days in hospital in Rio de Janeiro.
The 70-year-old actor had to undergo surgery to treat an infection and to remove an abscess, on Wednesday (1st).
"Look at me here again, recovering my energy and my speech too. I'm preparing for a new life adventure, I want to do my work. So I'm recovering, I'm improving and, thank God, without pain. That was a lot of pain and a lot of suffering", he said in a video published on his Instagram profile.
"Not now, now I'm happy and I want to work. I'm going to sing a lot throughout this country. Okay? Kisses and wait for me, guys. Thank you for supporting us. We have faith, let's move forward", he continued.
To CNN Brasil, the artist's team reported that the procedure to remove an abscess went well and he is now recovering in his room.
In April this year, the performer of the pastry chef in the Brazilian comedy series underwent another surgical procedure, this time to treat a herniated disc.
Financial problems
Since April 2025, he has lived at Retiro dos Artistas, an institution that supports artists going through difficulties, in Rio.
The house on site was financed by Marieta Severo, a colleague of Marcos, who acted with him in "A Grande Família" as Dona Nenê.
The change occurred after successive financial problems and a near eviction.
However, the actor has already publicly complained about the site's rules. According to him, it would be difficult to maintain intimacy and affection in the place and live with the behavior of some colleagues, which would generate discomfort.
