Considered one of the biggest Christian events in the country, the March for Jesus will feature a security scheme with the participation of more than 600 police officers. The event takes place in the capital of São Paulo, this Thursday (4), and should bring together the public between the Estação da Luz region and Praça Heróis da FEB (Brazilian Expeditionary Force).

According to the SSP-SP (São Paulo Public Security Secretariat), security teams will have aerial support using drones and Military Police observation towers so that agents can monitor, in real time, the movement of the public.

For police reinforcement, the security operation will be carried out in different modalities, such as radio patrolling, Tactical Force, patrols with the support of motorcycles, mounted police, Mobile Community Base and foot and motorized patrols in the event area.

In addition to police reinforcement and monitoring using technology, the security scheme also provides preventive actions, guidance to the public and emergency support throughout the program.

According to Captain Daniel Lourenço de Lima Pessoa, interim head of the Operational Division of the CPA/M-3 (Metropolitan Area Police Command Three), "the simultaneous use of foot, motorized, mounted and aerial patrols [by drones] expands territorial coverage and reinforces the public's perception of safety."

According to the ministry, police stations in the capital of São Paulo will also have their shifts reinforced during the event, while the Armed Robbery Repression Group will act with preventive policing, focusing on preventing robberies, thefts and other crimes against property.

The DHPP (Department of Homicide and Personal Protection) and teams from Decradi (Department of Racial Crimes and Intolerance Offenses) will also participate in the operation during the events during the Corpus Christi long holiday.
