Manchester United is in the process of signing its newest reinforcement. This is Éderson, from Atalanta, who currently defends Atalanta, from Italy. The new contract must be for four years, extendable for another year.

According to Sky Sports, in England, the team will pay 34 million pounds (R$230 million) for the player, in addition to 3.8 million pounds (R$26 million) in performance bonuses.

The player must undergo exams soon, so that the signing can be announced. The reinforcement will be the first of the Michael Carrick era at United.

With Casemiro leaving, the Brazilian appears as an option for the English team's midfield. In Europe, he is considered versatile, and a good option amid the Red Devils' squad overhaul.

Ederson's career
Éderson, aged 26, was revealed by Desportivo Brasil, from São Paulo, and still in the youth categories he played for Shandong Luneng, from China.

In 2018, he arrived at Cruzeiro de Mano Menezes, where he got his first chance as a professional, and there he won the Copa do Brasil 2018 and the Campeonato Mineiro in 2019.

He arrived at Corinthians in 2020, after the Minas Gerais team fell to Série B. At Alvinegro, he played 25 games and scored 3 goals. Soon after, he was loaned to Fortaleza, where he stood out.

He arrived in Italy hired by Salernitana, in 2022-2023. The team was his gateway to Italian football. Within six months, he was contracted by Atalanta for 15 million euros (R$87 million), in 2022-23. In the team, he was champion of the Europa League in the 2023-24 season.
