Manchester United closes deal for Atalanta's Ederson

Manchester United have reached an agreement to sign Brazilian midfielder Ederson from Atalanta. According to The Sun newspaper, the player will sign a contract for four seasons.

The operation is valued at 39 million pounds (around R$264 million), in addition to up to 4 million pounds in performance bonuses.

The transfer is expected to be completed in early July.

United has been following Ederson since last summer and sees him as a possible replacement for Casemiro, who left the club in June this year.

Signed by Atalanta in 2022, the Brazilian played 180 matches for the Italian team, with 16 goals scored and six assists.

Last season, Ederson entered the field 41 times and found the net on four occasions.
