Manchester City announces Pep Guardiola's departure after 10 years in charge

Coach Pep Guardiola will leave command of Manchester City at the end of the season.

The announcement was made by the English club this Friday (22), ending one of the most successful eras in English football.

Guardiola took over Manchester City in 2016 and won six Premier League titles, three FA Cups, five English League Cups and one Champions League.

Despite their success, the team has not won the English Championship for two seasons - losing this year to Arsenal.

Despite his departure as coach of Manchester City, Guardiola will continue his relationship with the City Football Group, taking on the role of Global Ambassador.

In this role, he will provide technical consultancy to the group's clubs, working on specific projects and collaborations.

"What wonderful moments we had together. Don't ask me why I'm leaving. There is no reason, but deep down, I know that my time has come. Nothing is eternal; if it were, I would be here. Eternal will be the feelings, the people, the memories, the love I have for my Manchester City", said Guardiola.
