Man suspected of putting pitbull to bite ex-partners arrested in BA
A man was arrested on Monday (1st) on suspicion of threats and failure to comply with a protective measure against his ex-partner, aged 39, in Vitória da Conquista, Bahia.
Investigations carried out by the Civil Police indicate that he placed his ex-partners to be bitten by his pit-bull dog after physically attacking them.
Alex Pereira Santos, aged 37, is also facing three other police investigations for stalking, disclosure of an intimate image, failure to comply with protective measures and bodily harm against the same victim.
In addition to these investigations, he is also responsible for committing the crime of threatening his ex-mother-in-law, a 60-year-old woman, and causing bodily harm and threatening another ex-partner, aged 24.
At the time of the apprehension, Santos tried to flee upon noticing the presence of the police, but was captured. After arrest, he was taken to the police unit, remaining in custody at the disposal of the Justice.
Currently, Alex Pereira Santos is represented as the card Q of Hearts in the Lilac Deck of the SSP-BA (Public Security Secretariat of Bahia).
The Lilac Deck is a tool that gathers and disseminates information about individuals wanted for serious crimes committed against women. The idea was created by the SSP (Secretariat of Public Security) in partnership with the SPM (Secretariat of Policies for Women).
The cards in the deck show people wanted for illegal actions carried out in the capital of Bahia, in the Metropolitan Region of Salvador (RMS) and in the interior of the state, and are displayed on the SSP website.
The preventive arrest warrant was issued by the 1st Court of Domestic and Family Violence against Women in the District of Vitória da Conquista and served during Operation Dama Lilás, carried out by the Specialized Women's Assistance Police Station (DEAM/Vitória da Conquista), with the support of other teams in the region.
