Man rapes teenager and is attacked by people in Sorriso

A 25-year-old man, whose identity was not revealed, was arrested after raping a 16-year-old teenager and being attacked by the victim's boyfriend and members of the public, in the early hours of Tuesday (16), in Sorriso (398 km from Cuiabá). According to information from the Military Police, the crime occurred around 12:10 am, in the Morada do Bosque II neighborhood. The teenager was in front of the house with her boyfriend. Soon after he left, she began to collect the chairs that were on the sidewalk, but was surprised by the suspect, who was carrying a knife. The attacker made threats and ordered her to remain silent and accompany him to a wooded area in front of the house. In the bush, the man carried out libidinous acts through violence and serious threats, completing the crime of rape. After committing the crime, he fled. The victim went out onto the streets of the neighborhood in search of help and ended up finding her boyfriend and some friends, telling them what had happened. The group searched the surrounding area and managed to find the suspect on a street close to the crime scene. When police arrived at the address, the man had several injuries to his face and other parts of his body. People, outraged by the crime, attacked the suspect before the team arrived. He confessed to the police that he committed the rape and said he was under the influence of drugs. The accused was taken to the Sorriso Civil Police Station for appropriate action.
