Man dies in accident in the central region of Sinop; 3rd victim in 24 hours
The driver of a black Honda Biz, identified as Lidimar Machado Pereira, aged 42, died in a serious accident that occurred this morning on Avenida das Embaúbas, close to the Benedito Santiago gym, in the central region. The death was confirmed at the scene by the Fire Department team.
According to preliminary information, one of the hypotheses is that the victim was driving the motorcycle along Avenida das Embaúbas, towards Avenida dos Jacarandás, when he lost control of the steering wheel.
Criminal expert Flávio Henrique detailed the preliminary analyses. "The driver, for some reason, lost his balance, rubbing against the curb, and fell onto the road. Observing the trace of the motorcycle and his own body, no third party was found who could have caused the cause, but we will analyze it more carefully. There is a camera here in the region, to see if it was due to controlling the direction or if someone could have contributed."
His helmet, which came off, was thrown a few meters. The area was isolated for forensic work by Politec, which should identify the causes and dynamics of the accident.
This is the third traffic death recorded in less than 24 hours. Just this morning, another driver died in a motorcycle accident, at the intersection of Paulista and Itaúbas avenues, in the Jardim Paulista neighborhood. Yesterday, also in the morning, the collision between a Yamaha Factor and a Hyundai HB20 resulted in the death of Rosilda Gomes Rodrigues, aged 42.
