Man arrested after violating protective measure against teenager in Bahia

A 23-year-old man was arrested on Friday (3) after failing to comply with a protective measure obtained by a 15-year-old teenager with whom he had a relationship in the past, in Coração de Maria, metropolitan area of Feira de Santana, in Bahia.

The Civil Police served the preventive arrest warrant against the suspect, who is being investigated for domestic and family violence.

According to the police, in addition to failing to comply with the protection measure, the man threatened and physically attacked the teenager. The corporation also found that the person being investigated was aware of the court's determinations related to restrictions on contact with the young woman.

The Coração de Maria Territorial Police Station reported that the man already had a history of previous incidents related to domestic and family violence.

The man remains in custody and available to justice.
