Gaviões da Fiel and La 12, Boca Juniors' main organized fan base, took an important step in the fight against racism in football. The two entities met this Friday afternoon to discuss the creation of an international campaign to raise awareness and combat discrimination inside and outside the stadiums.

The meeting marked the beginning of negotiations between Corinthians and Boca Juniors fans, who intend to join forces in an initiative aimed at mobilizing fans from different countries against racist practices in sport. The idea is to develop joint actions that promote respect, inclusion and equality in the sporting environment.

According to those organized, the proposal is to expand the debate on the topic and reinforce the message that football should be a space for healthy coexistence, free from any form of prejudice. New meetings between fan representatives are already planned for the coming months, with the aim of deepening the project and defining the next steps of the campaign.

The initiative comes amid a series of episodes of racism recorded in South American football in recent years and reinforces the position of the two fans that discriminatory attitudes can no longer be tolerated in any environment linked to sport. For Gaviões da Fiel and La 12, football, due to its reach and cultural importance, needs to serve as an instrument of unity between people, promoting diversity and respect for differences.
