Maiara's new video worries fans again; look

A new video of Maiara, 38, of the duo with Maraisa, 38, recently caught attention on social media because of the artist's appearance.

The country singer underwent bariatric surgery in 2017 and, since then, has changed her eating and exercise routine. She lost more than 40 kg and fans are surprised by the before and after.

In the comments of the new video that went viral on social media, internet users continued to comment.

"I almost didn't recognize Maiara, the woman looks very different, my god", commented one person. "I think Maiara needs a break and must have image distortion. I didn't recognize it, only after I saw her sister", said another. "Everyone around this woman is neglecting her to the extreme. How can someone look at this situation and not intervene?", said another.

At the end of 2024, after suffering several criticisms related to her appearance, Maiara said in an interview with Maya Massafera that she has the body she dreamed of since she was a child.

"I'm loving myself. I look in the mirror and accept myself, let the rest go", he said in a chat with Maya.

"I've always seen myself like this. When I was a child I always had problems, my family has a tendency to gain weight. I've always seen myself since I was nine years old, I saw myself with the body I have today, at 37 I managed to get the result I wanted", he added.

The country singer has also commented on the criticism directly. "When I was chubby, I was no good. Now I've lost weight, I'm 45 kilos - thank God I'm well aligned - and people keep giving me a bunch of illnesses that don't exist, that I don't even know the name of."
