Maiara comments on the casting of Klara Castanho in a film by Marília Mendonça

Singer Maiara, from the duo Maiara & Maraísa, commented on the casting of actress Klara Castanho in the new film produced by Prime Video, about Marília Mendonça.

Klara Castanho will play Maiara in the feature film "Marília", while Sophia Valverde will play Maraísa. In the comments of Castanho's publication on the subject, Maiara wrote about the actress's new journey.

"May God lead you and take you to one of my best versions... of having had one of the best friends and living with one of the best people in the world... may you be able to feel this experience... And may it not only be transformative for you, as it was for me... But for everyone who will watch! Let God act and live this 'character' intensely! I will be praying for you!", commented the singer.

Other star names complete the cast. Hermila Guedes will play Dona Ruth (mother of Marília Mendonça), Marcelo Serrado will play businessman Wander Oliveira, Daniel Haidar will play Henrique and Luccas Oliver will play Juliano (from the duo Henrique and Juliano), João Guilherme will play Juliano Tchula, Alejandro Claveaux will play Júnior (former stepfather of Marília Mendonça), George Sauma will act as Pepato, André Torquato as Filipe Rissi, Igor Armucho as Murilo Huff, Davi Bensá as Henrique Bahia and Marcus Gouveia as Tio Silveira.

Marília Mendonça will be played by actress and singer Marina Versos. In the cast announcement, the platform stated that it sought voices from all over Brazil to honor the star's legacy.

The feature film is directed by Dainara Toffoli and the script by Carina Schulze and Patrícia Andrade.

The filming of "Marília" has already begun. There is still no confirmed release date for the feature film.
