Singer Maiara, 38, responded to the criticism she received because of her appearance last weekend.

In an interview with Léo Dias, the countrywoman said that all people are subject to criticism, but she believes that lying should be punished. "God is very good in our lives. We just have to give thanks. Nothing will take away our shine, our joy and our happiness. But any injustice that comes to our company and our image will be punished", he declared.

Maraisa, 38, Maiara's partner, also participated in the interview and took the opportunity to defend her sister. "This week we went through two situations that we didn't need to be going through. We did a wonderful show there in Caratinga, it wasn't an easy show, but we were very well received by the population. The show was incredible and, in the end, they got a cut... The press is necessary, but we're seeing a lot of profiles that aren't press, it's pseudo journalism, that now have a cell phone and say they're a journalist and they're not."

"Go study, be sensible, journalism is a serious thing. Look at what you are posting. You take your feed, there is your name, why are you going to spread horrible things about another person that you don't even know, just for the sake of likes, for the sake of an audience? Don't do that", he continued.

She stated that "the internet is not a land without law" and that, until now, it was just a statement against the comments, but when it starts to actually affect her, the sisters will respond legally.

The team of Maiara and Maraisa shared on social media last Friday (5) a note of rejection after a video of the singer went viral and generated criticism of the appearance of the first voice.
