Magnitude 6 earthquake hits Japan island

An earthquake of magnitude 6 hit the east coast of the island of Honshu, in Japan, this Saturday (27), according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).
This is the second earthquake in the region in three days. On Wednesday (24), a magnitude 7.2 earthquake hit the east coast of the island.
The earthquake was felt throughout Aomori Prefecture with intensity 6+. At this level, according to the Japanese scale, "it is impossible to remain standing or move without crawling."
Almost simultaneously, two other tremors of magnitude 7.2 and 7.5 were recorded in Venezuela.

Earthquakes are common in Japan, one of the countries with the greatest seismic activity in the world. The country is home to around a fifth of the world's earthquakes with a magnitude of 6 or more.
The archipelago country of 125 million inhabitants usually records hundreds of earthquakes per year.
