Magnitude 6 earthquake hits Afghanistan and is felt in Pakistan

An earthquake of magnitude 6 hit Afghanistan this Saturday (27), reported the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The tremor shook eastern provinces, including Khost and Nangarhar, and was also felt in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, according to reports from AFP and Reuters.
The epicenter was recorded in northeastern Afghanistan, at a depth of 208.3 kilometers, according to the USGS.

Residents of Swat district, in Pakistan's northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, ran from their homes in panic, resident Daniyal Ahmad told Reuters. There is no official information about victims.
"It was something huge here in Swat and it lasted a long time. People came out of their homes and women and children were seen crying in panic," he said.
