Magnitude 6.1 earthquake in the Gulf of Mexico is felt in Havana

A 6.1 magnitude earthquake with an epicenter in the Gulf of Mexico shook Havana, Cuba, this Monday (8).
According to the AFP agency, an intense tremor lasting 20 seconds forced residents of the capital to leave their buildings. There are, however, no reports of damage in the city.
The United States Geological Survey reported that the earthquake occurred about 100 km from the western end of the island.
