Leo Stronda cancels 'maromba music' project after the death of Gabriel Ganley: 'I need to change my attitudes'

Singer and influencer Leo Stronda, aged 33, announced the definitive cancellation of his musical project focused on the "maromba" lifestyle for the remainder of 2026.
The decision, motivated by the death of bodybuilder Gabriel Ganley, was communicated in a published video on social media last Sunday (31).
So far, two tracks had been released according to the schedule, in March and April.
In the statement, Stronda stated that he regretted having encouraged his friend to use anabolic steroids, apologized to God and revealed that Ganley would participate in the recording of a new music video of his on the same day that the young man was found dead.
The new project
The series of releases began in March with the track "Segue the leader", a song in which Gabriel Ganley makes an appearance training alongside other influencers and maromba athletes.

On April 1, 2026, Stronda continued the schedule with the track "Clenbuterol".
The title makes direct reference to a drug for veterinary use commonly diverted for aesthetic purposes and fat burning.
The song's lyrics openly address the use of substances and the absence of noticeable side effects:

Everyone asking 'what happened to this guy?'

The comments on the video on YouTube, which has already accumulated more than 200,000 views, have been disabled.
Transformation into 'aberration'
The clip goes beyond presenting a visual narrative that is, to say the least, problematic.
In the story, Stronda plays a veterinarian and farmer who He practices "alchemy" with animals until he discovers a miraculous green formula.
The compound drastically increases the performance of horses in races and generates a significant increase in the animals' muscles.

The situation gets out of control and he starts to be pursued and captured by a secret government department, which begins technological tests with the formula to create what the script describes as a "beast, an aberration between man and animal."
The audiovisual material displays a formal warning that the product portrayed is for exclusive animal use, contraindicated for human consumption, and reinforces that the work is mere fiction.

The approach to anabolic steroids is not new in the discography of the former member of Bonde da Stronda.
In 2020, the artist had already released the single "Veneno", whose content directly explores the consumption of chemical compounds in bodybuilding:

Nationally recognized for his career in music as lead singer of the group Bonde da Stronda (of which he was part until 2023), the artist had been balancing his career as a fitness content creator with his return to the "stage".
