Vanderlei Luxemburgo used social media to criticize Carlo Ancelotti's work. "Do tests now? Something is wrong", said the former coach of the Brazilian national team between 1998 and 2000.

This Friday (5), during a press conference, the Italian stated that he wants to use the match between Brazil and Egypt, this Saturday (6), at 7pm, as options to carry out tests on the squad. The friendly game will allow up to 11 substitutions.

"I'll tell you something. Carrying out tests on the eve of the World Cup with the players... something is wrong. We've been there with the coach for a long time. The results in the qualifiers were not good. The score is the same as Dorival Júnior and Fernando Diniz. Testing? I don't know. There had to be a base team. Suddenly there was a vacancy or another for the starting team, but tests at this moment? At this moment we need a team. Get to know each other, make things happen", he stated Luxembourg.

Ancelotti's tests
Unlike the last press conference before Brazil x Panama, Carlo Ancelotti hid the lineup of the Brazilian team that will face Egypt this Saturday (6), in Cleveland, in the last friendly before the World Cup.

In a press conference held this Friday (6), the Italian spoke about the possibility of testing Brazil's lineup and also praised the offensive system he has been using in recent games in front of the team.

"Well, it's the last game to do tests, because afterwards the tests are much more difficult to do. So, Paquetá is an important player for us, because he has different characteristics from other midfielders. So yes, I want to test him and I also want to test Igor Thiago in tomorrow's game, to look for another option", he commented.

"I think the system with the four at the front is quite consolidated, I want to test another alternative in the last test", he concluded.

Three starters were guaranteed by Ancelotti in his answers: Douglas Santos, Lucas Paquetá and Igor Thiago, in addition to confirming the absence of Gabriel Magalhães. When asked about the possibility of announcing the lineup for the friendly, Ancelotti joked: "Do you want to know? Not today, I don't feel like giving the lineup today."

"Tomorrow we have eight changes, and I will take advantage of the eight changes in the second half. It may be that some players who need to play more, who came from injuries, such as Raphinha and Bruno Guimarães, may have more minutes", he also explained.
