Lula says that Flávio is a "traitor" and acts through US intervention in Brazil

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) publicly criticized the presidential candidate, Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL), this Friday (29) after the congressman went to Washington, capital of the United States, to meet with President Donald Trump.

In an announcement about Petrobras' investments in Sergipe, Lula said that Flávio "has no shame in betraying our homeland and going to the United States to ask for American intervention in Brazil."

In reference to the Inconfidência Mineira, the PT member stated that Joaquim Silvério dos Reis would be "ashamed" by Flávio's attitudes. Responsible for denouncing the inconfidentes, Silvério is known as one of the main traitors in Brazilian history.
