Luisa Arraes will play Cássia Eller in a biopic: 'Timeless symbol of freedom'

Actress Luisa Arraes will be responsible for bringing Cássia Eller to life in theaters.
The announcement was made on the afternoon of this Wednesday (27) by the distributor H2O Films, which confirmed the choice of the protagonist after a battery of tests for the role.
The feature film "Cássia - O Filme", which will be directed by filmmaker Diego Freitas, aims to rescue the trajectory of one of the most powerful and revolutionary voices in rock and MPB.
The video released on the distributor's social networks shows archive images of the singer and testimonials from the director and Maria Eugênia, widow of Cássia Eller.
"We chose Luisa because she has a similar energy to Cássia", said Maria Eugênia.

At 32 years old, Luisa Arraes, from Rio, has a solid CV in theater, television and Brazilian cinema, having been part of the cast of productions such as the film "Grande Sertão" (2024) and soap operas such as "Babilônia" (2015) and "No Rancho Fundo" (2024).
She will be directed by Diego Freitas, a director from São Paulo known for feature films. thrillers and dramas such as "The Good Side of Being Betrayed" (2023) and "After the Universe" (2022).
