Luciano Huck defends Virginia after boos: "We cannot normalize harassment"
Presenter Luciano Huck, 54, used social media last Sunday (1st) to defend influencer Virginia, 27, after she was booed by fans at the Maracanã stadium.
"We cannot normalize collective moral harassment. To the sadness of all of us, in the digital environment we have already normalized pre-judgment, inquisitorial condemnation, unmeasured aggression and lack of respect. But, eye to eye - like what happened yesterday at Maracanã - this takes on an even harsher dimension. It is violent, inhumane and cruel", began Huck in Instagram stories.
He stated that people need a "moral reset" to correct their course and rediscover basic values of coexistence. "Because we are heading down a dangerous path."
"I continue to believe that disagreements can exist. Criticism can exist. Debate is healthy and necessary. But none of this can happen at the expense of someone's dignity", he continued.
"Stay strong, dear Virginia. Keep working hard, taking care of your loved ones, valuing those who value you and remaining faithful to your principles and convictions. I leave here my support and friendship", added the presenter.
