Corinthians drew 3-3 with Santo André in a match valid for the National Futsal League (LNF) and continues to seek recovery in the competition. After the final whistle, goalkeeper Lucas Oliveira gave an interview and analyzed the team's moment, the situation in the table, the lack of confidence caused by recent results and the arrival of a new reinforcement for the black and white squad.
Initially, the player was asked about Corinthians' proximity to the relegation zone and stated that, despite the situation in the table requiring attention, the group's thinking remains focused on higher goals in the competition.

"Man, of course the table doesn't lie, we are close. But the reality for Corinthians is to look up. We had a game today that we could have distanced ourselves from a little. Man, whoever was here saw the game. We were a juggernaut, we didn't score the goals. They arrived a few times, scored the goals, were a little more effective. It happens, it can't happen, but it happens. And now we have the World Cup, which is a knockout tournament. Maybe it's the shortest way for a title this season. We will now focus on this game, which will be very difficult. But in the League we are thinking about being in the qualifying zone."
Afterwards, Lucas commented on the team's emotional issue. According to him, the recent results naturally affect the athletes' confidence, but the performance presented in the games shows that the team is close to winning again.
"Yes, yes. Man, it's natural, given the results, that you're a little lacking in confidence. But, again, you see the game we played today. The game we played there in Santo André. We didn't deserve the draw. Of course, we didn't score the goals. But you see the volume of the game, the amount of chances created. There's a little bit left. That's it, the little bit left that will allow us, in the next games, God willing, to bring victories."
When asked about the start of the match and the goals conceded against Santo André, the archer disagreed with the assessment that Corinthians started below and highlighted the team's attitude even after falling behind on the scoreboard.
"I'm going to disagree with you a little. I didn't think we started low. It's difficult for me to say, because it seems like I'm just defending the team. But, man, we also had a steamroller start to the game. Ball hit the post, almost a chance for a goal. And they went down once and it was a goal, then they went down again and it was a goal.
Maybe there was a little lack of concentration in some of the moves, because we conceded two goals. And then the pressure comes a lot more due to being 2 x 0 against. But I also see that we didn't leave the game with 2 x 0. Maybe at other times we could have attacked anyway, left the game, but no. Our team, even though it has a lot of kids, has already shown the maturity to come from 2 x 0.
We reached 2 x 2, we made it 3 x 2 and again we didn't leave the game, reaching 3 x 3. And then, man, there's a taste that we can do more. I see that this situation in the table is difficult, but the games, regardless of whether they are against teams at the top or bottom, we are always close to victory. But we're not succeeding. It's difficult for us to have a game that comes here and takes a lot of shots on goal and is very low. Maybe in the first half in Joinville this happened, we were down, we didn't create and we took a lot of shots on goal. But all the other games we had a good volume and we ended up conceding goals and not scoring. It's happening and we're trying to change."
Finally, Lucas spoke about the signing of Corinthians' new reinforcement and highlighted the importance of the athlete's experience for the squad, in addition to the positive impact that his arrival can generate among the fans.
"Yes, I think you've already answered the question. He's going to help us a lot, with experience. He's a well-rounded guy, he's a guy who has been through a lot of game situations, championship situations. It will help us a lot.
I think it can also bring the fans, but I believe that, as soon as the bracket changes and we win again, which is what we have faith will happen, the fans will embrace us again. They already embrace us, the fans embrace us, but they will come back."
