Corinthians drew 3-3 with Santo André last Monday night, at Ginásio Wlamir Marques, in the eighth round of the National Futsal League (LNF). Despite creating several opportunities throughout the match, Timão again wasted important chances and scored just one point against the ABC Paulista team.
After the final whistle, winger Lucas Martins gave an interview to Central do Timão and analyzed the moment Corinthians were experiencing in the competition. The player acknowledged the mistakes made during the match, but demonstrated confidence in the team's ability to react and secure a place in the LNF playoffs.

When commenting on the draw against Santo André, Lucas highlighted the offensive volume created by the team and stated that the group needs to continue working to correct the problems presented in the last games.
"We played a good game, we missed a lot of opportunities, we made some mistakes and we conceded goals. But we're going to overcome this, we're going to qualify and we have to work. We have to work harder and harder to get out of this situation."
With the campaign below expectations at the start of the National League, part of the fans have expressed concern about the team's position in the table. Asked about a possible internal discussion regarding the risk of relegation, the player dismissed any fear within the squad and reinforced confidence in qualifying for the knockout phase.
"No, man, we're not going to be relegated, we're going to get into the play-offs, we're fully capable. We're going to get through this phase by working."
In addition to talking about Corinthians' moment in the season, Lucas also commented on his relationship with Vander Carioca, one of the main names in the history of Corinthian futsal. The former player, who followed the Central do Timão broadcast, recalled the period in which he worked with the athlete in the youth categories.
The winger thanked him for the support he received during his training and highlighted the importance that Vander had in his career within the club.
"Man, Vandão, as you said, is a great idol of our futsal, he was a father, he gave me all the support when I was still in the under-20s. It's a shame I didn't get to play with him, but he's an amazing guy."
Corinthians turns its attention to the continuation of the National Futsal League in search of recovery in the table and greater regularity to get closer to the classification zone for the competition's playoffs.
