The statement also reinforces that "the victim will never be to blame" and encourages the reporting of cases of violence and abuse.

The controversy began after Lorena reported on social media that she suffered sexual abuse at the age of 12. According to testimony, her mother started a relationship with a man who started living with the family and who, according to the influencer, displayed aggressive and inappropriate behavior towards girls who lived in the environment.

Lorena stated that the man watched her cousin taking a shower through a crack in the wall and that, on one occasion, he molested her while she was sleeping. She said that she reacted immediately to the episode and said that the suspect did not deny what happened.

The influencer reported that she did not report the case at the time because she was a child and was afraid of the consequences. According to reports, after the episode she began to suffer physical attacks, threats and neglect at home.

When talking about the subject, Lorena stated that she did not want to make this part of her story public. "I'm not obligated to talk. No one has to expose this kind of thing about my private life", he declared.

She also described the episode as one of the greatest pains of her life. "It's a very deep wound for me", he said when commenting on the repercussion of the case.

After the accusations, Monica Aguiar used social media to deny the version presented by her daughter, and called her an "actress". In a video, she accused Lorena of lying about the facts and stated that the influencer was making up the story.

Lorena's sister, Gabriella Aguiar, spoke out in defense of the influencer. In a post on social media, she stated that she believed the reports presented and criticized her mother's stance on the allegations.
