Lionel Richie thanks fans for support as he resumes tour after feeling ill

Lionel Richie, 77, reassured fans by discussing a health problem he had last week.

The singer debuted a tour with the band Earth, Wind & Fire on the 24th, in the United States. But he felt ill during the performance, felt dizzy and had to end the show and be hospitalized.

"Thank you for all the messages, kind words and all the love. I'm fine and I'm grateful for you all. "See you in Toronto, let's party!" he wrote on Instagram on Saturday (4).

The night he fell ill, he abruptly sat down on the stage floor while singing "Dancing on the Ceiling", from 1986, one of his hits. The presentation took a break, but did not return.

Afterwards, he canceled his shows in Chicago and Saturday's show in Columbus, Ohio, and only returned to the stage on the 30th and the 1st, when he performed in Pittsburgh and Detroit.

The singer has a show scheduled in São Paulo on December 19, at the Nubank Parque stadium (formerly Allianz Parque), in the west zone of SP.

Richie has four Grammy Awards and won his first Grammy in 1982 when he won the Best Male Pop Vocal Performance category for "Truly". In addition, he has already won Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Producer of the Year.
