Lieutenant da Rota has reduced sedation and responds well to treatment
The lieutenant of the Rota (Rondas Ostensivas Tobias de Aguiar) and Eloá Pimentel's older brother, Ronickson Pimentel dos Santos, presents a gradual reduction in sedation, an important step awaited by the medical team. The agent remains hospitalized in serious condition in the ICU at Hospital Estadual Mário Covas, but is responding well to intensive treatment.
According to the note, the main evolution of the day is the beginning of the protocol to gradually reduce sedation. However, neurological signs remain favorable, and the agent remains stable, with good oxygenation and under continuous monitoring.
Lieutenant Pimentel was shot on the 27th, in São Caetano do Sul, in Greater São Paulo. On the day of the crime, he had to undergo emergency surgery to remove the projectile lodged in his head, which was successful.

The attack on the police officer occurred on Saturday morning (27), on Avenida Goiás, in São Caetano do Sul, in Greater São Paulo. He was shot in the head during an attempted execution.

The victim received first aid from a Samu team while still at the scene and, due to the severity of the injuries, needed to be rescued and transported to the hospital in an emergency by the Águia helicopter, from the Military Police Air Group.
The lieutenant is the older brother of Eloá Pimentel, a 15-year-old girl who was murdered in 2008 by her ex-boyfriend Lindemberg Alves, after being held hostage for more than 100 hours.
According to the Military Police, the suspects involved in the attempted execution of the Rota lieutenant, aged 52, 40 and 24, were arrested on Sunday morning (28), in Guianases, in the east zone of São Paulo. They would have provided logistical and transport support on the day of the attack. One of them confessed to participating in the crime and the youngest, according to the police, was released.
According to Rota, elements were collected that point to prior planning on the part of the criminals. Furthermore, the police are investigating the involvement of the PCC (Primeiro Comando da Capital), the largest criminal faction in the country, in authoring and coordinating the attack.
