Demand for trips to São Paulo during this weekend - when the 30th edition of the LGBT+ Pride Parade takes place - grew 43%, compared to the same period last month.

The data is from Omio, obtained first hand by CNN Brasil.

The event, which symbolizes the movement's struggle over the years, moves travelers not only in Brazil, but also around the world.

The survey reveals that demand comes mainly from Brazilian regions, followed by Portugal and Spain.

People from Italy, the United Kingdom and France are also looking for trips at this time, added to the demand that arrives from the United States, Germany, Argentina and Peru to take advantage of the Parade.

According to Omio, the event also serves as an opportunity to get to know the culture of São Paulo and enjoy the artist shows scheduled for the event.

Some of the celebrities who will perform are Gloria Groove, Pepita, Melody, Diego Martins, MC Soffia, Pabllo Vittar and Urias.

This increase in demand also reflects on the revenue of businesses, hotels, restaurants and other services.

The ACSP (São Paulo Commercial Association) projects that the event will generate an estimated revenue of R$466.2 million for the local economy.
