Leaving Fluminense, Ganso is offered to Serie A rivals; see details

After leaving Fluminense, Paulo Henrique Ganso was offered to a rival in Series A of the Brazilian Championship. This is Athletico-PR, coached by Odair Hellmann, who also played for Tricolor.

Despite this, the tendency is for Furacão not to move forward with signing Ganso. The high salary tends to prevent an agreement between the parties. The information was reported by the UmDois Esportes portal, a partner of Itatiaia.

Ganso was offered to Athletico-PR amid his absence from official matches for Flu. The 36-year-old midfielder is expected to be negotiated to leave at the opening of the transfer window, on July 20.

The player himself asked the management not to be involved any further while he defines his future. In a statement, Fluminense reported that the number 10 asked to stay out of future relationships.

"Paulo Henrique Ganso will not be listed in Fluminense's next two matches. At the beginning of the week, the athlete informed the board about another club's interest in signing him in the middle of the year. As a result, the club decided not to list the player so that he has the peace of mind and necessary conditions to decide his future," Tricolor announced.

Ganso has played 12 games in the Brasileirão and, if he enters the field one more time, he will not be able to change clubs.

The next challenge in the championship will be Cruzeiro, on Sunday (31), at 8:30 pm (Brasília time), at Mineirão. The number 10 will also not be against Deportivo La Guaíra, in the Copa Libertadores.
