Las Vegas guarantees Formula 1 until 2037 with historic contract renewal

Las Vegas will continue to host a Formula 1 stage at least until 2037 after signing a 10-year contract extension, the parties involved announced this Thursday (4).

The night race, which takes drivers through the famous Las Vegas Strip at speeds exceeding 320 km/h, is one of three stages held in the United States, alongside Austin and Miami. The Las Vegas Grand Prix debuted on the category's calendar in 2023.

The GP in Austin, Texas, has a contract until 2034, while Miami is guaranteed on the calendar until 2041.

"We are thrilled that Formula 1 will continue to race in Las Vegas for many years to come," said Stefano Domenicali, president and CEO of the series controlled by Liberty Media, in a statement released ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix.

"Since its debut in 2023, the event has been extraordinary, quickly establishing itself as a go-to destination for major races, world-class entertainment, global business leaders, celebrities and influencers."

"We have always believed that Las Vegas would become a pillar of our presence in the United States, and this renovation, added to the success of recent years, reinforces our long-term commitment to this important market," he added.

According to Formula 1, the Las Vegas Grand Prix has already generated an accumulated economic impact of more than R$15 billion for southern Nevada since its debut. The three editions held so far have sold out. In 2025, the official public presence during the three days of the event was 300 thousand people.
