Corinthians continues its preparation during the interseason with a view to resuming the season. With Rodrigo Garro suspended for the next round of the Brazilian Championship, coach Fernando Diniz began testing alternatives to assemble the team that will face Remo when the competition returns. According to Meu Timão, midfielder Zakaria Labyad participated in training among the starters and appears as one of the options to fill the number 8 spot.

Garro's absence forces the technical committee to look for a solution for the creative sector. Despite the tests carried out in the first days of activities, the definition of the starting team has not yet been finalized, as Corinthians will have approximately three weeks of preparation before returning to official commitments.
In addition to finding a replacement for the Argentine, Fernando Diniz is taking advantage of the period without games to deepen the work started since his arrival at the club. Hired in the midst of an intense sequence of matches, the coach had little time to develop more significant changes to the game model. Now, with an agenda focused on training, the technical committee works on tactical aspects and seeks to consolidate the ideas implemented since the beginning of the command.
The expectation is that Corinthians will return to competitions with a team more adapted to the style proposed by Diniz. The second semester holds a decisive sequence for the club, which continues to compete in the Brazilian Championship, Copa do Brasil and Conmebol Libertadores.
In the Brasileirão, Timão currently occupies tenth place and will make its first match after the break on July 23, at 7:30 pm (Brasília time), when it hosts Remo, at the Neo Química Arena.
For the Copa do Brasil, the opponent in the round of 16 will be Internacional. The first leg is scheduled for August 2nd, at Beira-Rio, while the decision for the place will take place on August 6th, at Neo Química Arena.
In the Libertadores, Corinthians will face Rosario Central, from Argentina, also in the round of 16. The matches are scheduled for August 13th and 20th, with the second leg being played in São Paulo. Whoever advances will face in the quarterfinals the winner of the duel between Estudiantes, from Argentina, and Universidad Católica, from Chile.
Before the resumption of official competitions, the black and white team will play a friendly match during the interseason. On July 12th, at 4pm (Brasília time), Corinthians will face FC Cascavel, at the Estádio Olímpico Regional, in Cascavel, Paraná.
