Germany's unexpected fall from the World Cup and the criticism surrounding Julian Nagelsmann's work already signal a change of command in the national team. According to information from the newspaper "The Telegraph", Jürgen Klopp is willing to take on the responsibility of rescuing local football as coach of the national team.

According to the newspaper, the former Liverpool coach was informally approached by people linked to the German Football Federation (DFB) to discuss the possibility of a change of cycle. The offer pleased Klopp, who was interested in the project.

Without managing a team since May 2024, when he left the English team after a period of nine years, Klop had been working as a TV commentator and was harshly critical of the Germany team's performance at the World Cup.

According to the proposal, the experienced coach would have a cycle to complete that includes leading the country in the next World Cup. The coach accepts the challenge, but wants to establish a new way of working. He does not want to follow a traditional routine of observing club matches in person every weekend. In this new model, Klopp wants to count on the support of the entire technical committee to carry out this monitoring in order to reduce the number of trips.

Amidst the climate of uncertainty, Julian Nagelsmann, at least for now, continues in his role as coach. As one of the favorites for the title, Germany started the World Cup in exciting fashion with a 7-1 thrashing of Curaçao. After defeating Ivory Coast in the following round (2-1), the disappointment came in the comeback defeat to Ecuador (2-1) in the last match of the group stage.

In the second phase, the disappointment came with the elimination to Paraguay. After a 1-1 draw in normal time and extra time, the European team ended up being beaten in the penalty shootout (4-3) and said a melancholic farewell to the World Cup.
