King Charles III welcomes Prince Harry and his family for the first time in years in an attempt to overcome a royal split

King Charles III welcomed his youngest son, Prince Harry, and met with his family for the first time in years on Friday (10).
The reception is an attempt to overcome a family rift that has has persisted since Harry and his wife left royal life and moved to the United States six years ago.

Harry, Meghan and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, met with the King and Queen Camilla at Highgrove House, a country estate west of London.
Harry, who holds the title Duke of Sussex, arrived in the United Kingdom on Monday (6) to a series of charity events, which ended up overshadowed by speculation about whether he would meet his father.

British tabloids and newspapers heavily covered the possibility of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, accompanying him and - even more important - whether they would bring their two children so they could meet their grandfather, Charles, for the first time in four years.
It appeared that these plans had fallen through after a government commission denied the Harry's security protection for his family and Buckingham Palace withdrew its offer to host the prince when it emerged he was coming alone.
Harry's visit coincided with the defeat of his latest legal action in an attempt to rein in the British tabloids.
A judge ruled that Harry had failed to substantiate allegations of invasion of privacy against the publisher of the Daily Mail newspaper. The action had also been filed by Elton John against the same tabloid.
