Kidnapped journalist found dead in Mexico

Mexican authorities reported, this Friday (3), that they found the body of a journalist kidnapped by two armed men in early June.
The kidnapping of Roxana Guzmán from her home was recorded on a frightening video. His remains were found days ago in a house and identified, the Veracruz State Attorney's Office (east) said in a statement.
Eight people were arrested for the crime of homicide, including four men who served as municipal police officers at the time of the crime, the Attorney's Office added.
The police officers "provided resources, food and logistical support to the criminal group" that kidnapped the journalist, according to the investigation.
Guzmán ran a digital news portal in Veracruz, one of the states with the highest number of crimes against journalists in Mexico.
Two other journalists had already been murdered this year in that region.
Guzmán's portal operates on Facebook and publishes news and reports from Nanchital, a city with around 30 thousand inhabitants.
Mexico is one of the most dangerous countries for journalists, according to the organization Reporters Without Borders (RSF), which has recorded more than 150 journalists murdered since 1994.
