Kassab defends the end of the 6×1 scale, but calls for a responsible transition

The pre-candidate for the vice-president of the Republic Gilberto Kassab (PSD) defended the end of the 6×1 scale for Brazilian workers, but highlighted the need for a responsible transition. The statement was made after lunch promoted by the Parliamentary Front for Competitive Brazil, in Brasília.

"There is no citizen in Brazil who does not defend two days off, but that it should be done responsibly so that it does not cause harm to some sectors, which could also cause harm to workers", he considered.

Kassab also commented on the progress of the proposal, approved in the Chamber of Deputies and awaiting forwarding in the Federal Senate: "The vote can be at any time. The sooner this achievement is celebrated, the better. But it must be a suitable project."

The proposal provides for a reduction in weekly working hours from 44 to 40 hours without a salary reduction and has not yet been sent to the Senate's Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ).

On the same day, Kassab was announced as vice-president on the Caiado ticket. After the event, the pre-candidate said that Caiado will be responsible for coordinating the public security area. Regarding names that will lead the economic area, Kassab stated that no names have been forwarded.
