Kane scores and England beats New Zealand in the last pre-World Cup test

Harry Kane scored a header and secured England's 1-0 victory over New Zealand this Saturday (6), valid in the preparatory friendly for the World Cup, in Tampa.

Thomas Tuchel, coach of the English national team, promoted a complete rotation of the team at half-time and gave minutes to 22 players. Kane's precise finish, with a header into the corner from Djed Spence's cross, served as a reminder of the captain's importance to the team's tournament ambitions.

The match was planned to test the squad's level of preparation for World Cup conditions, and England demonstrated moments of harmony without ever fully finding their rhythm in the game.

There was also the debut of 17-year-old Rio Ngumoha, who is training with the team, but is not part of the World Cup squad. Furthermore, the four Arsenal players called up by England - Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke - were scheduled to join the group this Saturday, after being given time off after playing in the Champions League final last weekend.

Belgium scores and Switzerland draws with Australia
Forward Romelu Lukaku continued his return from injury for Belgium, coming on in the second half and playing for 25 minutes in the 5-0 rout of Tunisia in Brussels.

Leandro Trossard, Charles De Ketelaere, Kevin De Bruyne, Dodi Lukebakio and Nicolas Raskin scored the goals of the match, while Lukaku contributed an assist.

"We wanted to perform well in front of our fans. It's a good preparation for the World Cup. We know that this team can achieve great things", said coach Rudi Garcia.

Switzerland and Australia drew 1-1, the same score as the clash between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Panama.
