Júlia Zanatta is willing to be vice-president, but says she leaves Flávio "very comfortable"

Encouraged by Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL), federal deputy Júlia Zanatta (PL-SC) makes herself available to be a candidate for vice president on Flávio Bolsonaro's (PL) ticket in the dispute for Planalto. Using her political motto, she told CNN Brasil that she was "ready for combat".

At the same time, he says that he will leave Flávio "very comfortable" to make a decision and that he will comply with whatever is resolved by the Bolsonaro clan together with the national president of the PL, Valdemar da Costa Neto.

At the end of last week, Eduardo Bolsonaro started to encourage Zanatta's name as his brother's deputy. Among the positive points defended by members of the PL who defend the deputy are:

- be a person of trust for the group (therefore, there is less chance of Flávio being betrayed if he is elected - articulations in favor of a possible impeachment have become a greater concern since the case against Dilma Rousseff (PT); more conservative, an attitude that may not be so well regarded if these agendas are defended directly by Flávio.

On the other hand, Zanatta may not aggregate votes from voters more central, which could be decisive in such a tight electoral race, nor attract votes from northeasterners, for example.

Zanatta said he had not yet spoken directly with Flávio about the possibility of taking over as vice-president on the ticket. She claims to be an issue that the Bolsonaro brothers are dealing with among themselves.

However, a personal conversation in the coming days is not completely ruled out. The deputy intends to go to Brasília this week in view of the expected vote on bills to end the 6x1 labor scale and the criminalization of misogyny. It will also seek to address issues related to Santa Catarina.

At the moment, it is unlikely that a definition regarding the vice-president vacancy on Flávio's ticket will come out anytime soon. Internal PL research is still being designed and carried out. Other names of women are being tested and, given the results, other allies cannot be ruled out.

Furthermore, the desire of a wing of the party is to wait for the result of articulations with center parties, such as PP, União Brasil and Republicans - so far, they have not progressed as the PL imagined.

Meanwhile, Zanatta emphasizes that she will not change the direction of her work as a federal deputy, a position for which she intends to be re-elected, if she is not chosen as vice-president.
