Joy with a draw: Japanese celebrate their World Cup debut at the famous Shibuya crossing in Tokyo

Japanese fans gathered in the iconic neighborhood of Shibuya, in Tokyo, on Monday (15), to celebrate the 2-2 draw achieved in the last minutes against the Netherlands, in the team's debut in the World Cup.
The fans filled the Shibuya crossing, singing and chanting, despite the rain.
Japan defended with determination in the first half, frustrating the Dutch, and launched some attacks of their own before the match at the Dallas Stadium turned into an exciting game, with three goals in a span of 13 minutes, until the Blue Samurais leveled the match with two minutes remaining.
Daichi Kamada scored the team's crucial second goal when the ball deflected off the Crystal Palace midfielder's head and beat Bart Verbruggen after a powerful header from Koki Ogawa.
Despite the absence of their influential midfielder, Wataru Endo, who was cut from the squad due to injury, the four-time Asian champions reacted to the defeat with a determined performance.
Japan's next game will be against Tunisia, in Mexico, on Saturday (20).
