João Gordo reveals which Ratos de Porão album he can't like and surprises the band's fans

João Gordo once again caught the attention of Ratos de Porão fans by revealing, bluntly, which of the band's albums is not among his favorites. During an interview with Toca UOL, the vocalist commented on Necropolitics, an album released in 2022, and stated that he was not completely satisfied with the final result of the work.

According to João, the album was produced in a complicated period, during the pandemic, and ended up not counting on his participation in the way he would have liked. The singer explained that, normally, he tends to interfere a lot in the creative process, adjusting parts, shortening sections and helping to make the songs more direct and intense.

In the vocalist's opinion, Necropolitics sounds less rehearsed and slower than other Ratos de Porão works. He acknowledged that the album was well done by Jão and Juninho, but made it clear that he missed putting his stamp more strongly on the songs.

João also compared the album with Século Sinistro, previously released, stating that that work had a stronger, well-rehearsed and aggressive feel, characteristics that many fans directly associate with Ratos de Porão's historical identity.
