João Gomes was the big winner of the 33rd edition of the Brazilian Music Award, winning the best in three categories: Best Artist and Best Release in the Popular Song category, and Best Release in the Special Project category, with "Dominguinho", a joint project with Mestrinho and Jota.Pe. The singer, who performed a show in Aracaju on the date, was not present at the event.
The award ceremony took place on Wednesday night (10), at the Theatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro, and featured Débora Bloch and Alice Wegmann as presenters of the ceremony.
Luedji Luna, Djavan, Chitãozinho and Xororó and BK are also among the award winners. this year, the Brazilian Music Award paid tribute to the singer Cazuza.
Seu Jorge, Ney Matogrosso, Chico Chico, Ludmilla, Lazzo Matumbi, BNegão, Luedji Luna, Maneva, Marina Sena, Zizi Possi, Luísa Sonza and Simone performed hits by the artist throughout the ceremony.
