João Fonseca's key in Halle has Zverev; see first opponent

After debuting with victory in the doubles qualifier this Saturday (13), João Fonseca found his way into the singles competition at the Terra Wortmann Open, in Halle, Germany.

The Brazilian's first opponent in the tournament played on grass will be German veteran Yannick Hanfmann, number 59 in the world, in an unprecedented duel on the professional circuit.

If he wins in his debut, João Fonseca could face fellow German Alexander Zverev. The Roland Garros champion is the tournament's number 1 seed and faces Czech Vit Kopriva in the first round of the main draw.

Also in the bracket are Alexander Bublik, 11th in the rankings, the American Ben Shelton, and the Australian Nick Kyrgios, who specializes in grass and is making his return after recovering from injury.
