João Fonseca debuts at Wimbledon against Spanish tennis player
Brazilian João Fonseca, number 27 in the world, met his opponent this Friday (26) in his debut on the sacred grass at Wimbledon.
Fonseca plays his first game in London against Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut, 38 years old and currently number 168 in the ATP rankings.
If he advances in the competition, the 19-year-old tennis player will face the winner of the duel between Dutch Jesper de Jong, number 74, and Australian Rinky Hijikata, 83rd in the world.
Fonseca's path
Russian Andrey Rublev, seeded number 12, could enter the Brazilian's path in the third round of Wimbledon. In the round of 16, Novak Djokovic and Arthur Rinderknech would be the likely opponents.
