Jessie J celebrates breast cancer remission: "I sobbed for hours"

Singer Jessie J, 38, shared with her followers this Thursday (21) that she is in remission from her breast cancer. Through an emotional video on Instagram, the artist detailed her last day of treatment and explained to her fans what the experience of having to undergo certain tests was like.

"I went back for my annual check-up, actually, I'm scared to death, I'm not going to lie. They told me there was no contrast and I think, based on that, I'm going to have to go for my MRI pretending I'm not claustrophobic," she began.

The British woman was diagnosed with breast cancer in mid-2025. On social media, she decided to reveal the type of condition before the "secret got out". At the time, she said she was holding on to the fact that the illness was "in its early stages."

"If you haven't had an MRI on your chest yet, you need to lie on your stomach and put your arms up like Superman. Let's keep our fingers crossed, everything's okay, positive thoughts. Don't worry about anything," she added, singing the last phrase.

A few hours later, Jessie shared the footage, confirming that the disease was in remission. "The results are back and I'm cancer free!! I sobbed for hours and then exhaled for the first time in a year," she added in the post's caption.

Soon after receiving the diagnosis and beginning intense treatment, Jessie was invited to The Town festival. Marking the biggest show of her career so far, the singer was very grateful to the Brazilian public for the experience.
